JONES
TALKIN’
with CONSTANTINE MAROULIS
FROM THE
FANS!!!
YOU WANTED TO KNOW SO HERE WE GO!!!

REHEARSING FOR THE
EAST COAST TOUR!
Will Constantine do
another question and answer interview like he
did at The Opus Theater in West Nyack, NY?
*Nancy*
“I would love to do something like that
again. I thought it was a great atmosphere for
the fans and for I to just get reacquainted after
all the craziness that was the tour and the whole
season on Idol. Sure, I would love to do something
like that! Right now my schedule is a little crazy,
but hopefully in the very near future I hope to
set something like that up again.”
Please ask Constantine when the new website
will be going up!
*Nicole*
“We just launched a
brand new website on Monday, 7/31! We welcome
feedback from the fans…there are a few kinks
to work out, which we’re working on, but
it’s all coming together. The fans have
been great - thank you for your patience!”
[Check out his site at http://www.constantinemaroulis.net
]
Please ask Constantine if we’ll
be seeing him on Broadway anytime soon?
*Maria*
“We’re actively looking at a few different
shows that are running right now, possibly an
off Broadway show. So we’ll see! I’m
very anxious to get back on stage. We’ve
had some cool offers but we’re trying to
figure out the right show.”
Tell Constantine the Midwest is waiting
for future shows!
We love him!
*Motown Terri*
“Hopefully by the end of the year I’ll
be there! We’re going to have a leg of this
tour that will go out to the Midwest and out West…hopefully
as soon as possible because I got mad love for
the west!!!”
When will you do a concert in the Southern
states? We love you down in the south, too!!
*Chloerose*
“We’re planning some dates in the
south in the fall, but it is dependent on a few
projects and scheduling. We’re already talking
about some dates in September, but again things
change in my world on a daily basis. But as of
now, I’m hoping to get down there this fall.”
I would love to know if Constantine is
signed to a major label like his myspace suggests
and if so which one?
*Jenna*
Unfortunately,
this one is under wraps, people, but he did say
this…
“When I can talk about
this, my fans will be the FIRST to know –
I promise!”
Does Constantine still have the deal with
ABC for the television show?
*Lisa*
“As far as ABC television goes…it
was an amazing experience being a part of the
ABC family and working right along side the top
brass at the network, as well as Kelsey Grammer.
I learned more in 6+ month’s time…wow…it
was like having over 6 years experience in just
that 6 months! Being right there, creating the
show, creating characters, going back and forth
with the brass at ABC / Paramount…it was
an amazing experience for me. But, my team has
decided to go elsewhere as far as our options
in television and film go so we’ve since
parted ways…myself and ABC. We hope to work
together again in the future. And the show will
live on in some other capacity - that much I assure
you.”
Do you see yourself doing film?
*Alex*
“Absolutely! I grew up loving so many mediums
of the performing arts field and I definitely
look forward to being attached to the right film
down the road. When that opportunity comes up
for the right job, I’ll jump all over it!
That’ll be a great day!”
Could you please ask Constantine if he
will happen to be selling merchandise at his shows?
If so…what?
*Carol*
“Yes! We have some fantastic new items.
We have a bunch of different shirts that you can
only buy exclusively on this tour or on constantinemaroulis.net.
We have really great 8x10 photos. We have great
new trucker hats, tee shirts, spaghetti straps
for girls, tattoos, framed pictures, color and
b/w. Lots of good stuff!”
Did you ever, in your wildest dreams,
think that you’d make it like you have and
have so many women screaming your name, just hoping
for you to look at them?
*Paula*
“Flat out? NO! I never thought this would
have ever happened to me. I was always such a
geek growing up and getting this sort of attention
now feels like a miracle, really. I’m just
so happy I have an audience that is anxious and
excited about my work and looking towards the
future as much as I am. I’m still learning
and it’s always a process. I’m excited
about the next few years of my life – definitely!”
The music we’re going to hear on
this East Coast Tour…is it different from
Idol? We’re not losing the rocker in him,
are we!?!
*Marilyn*
“No! The new music is distinctly rock and
roll so we’re not losing that! I just think
that it has a bit more of a commercial edge to
it. The songs have a more pop sound - they’re
clear as far as the composition. So yes they are
pop songs, but distinctly rock and roll! There
are a few different styles in there - Latin rock,
Americana rock, and Drama rock.”
Drama Rock!?!
*Mrs. Jones*
“Sure, gotta have drama rock, MJ! There’s
drama everywhere else in my life!”
Who is the new band you’re touring
with and what is their name?
*Danielle*
“The band is compiled of some amazing musicians
from NYC. A singer/songwriter that I’ve
worked with in the past and that I’m currently
working with now. They come from different bands;
they’ve played with some amazingly popular
artists and credible acts, and have written songs
for some amazing people – in more detail
- you can find all their bios on myspace.com/constantinemaroulis
in the blog that says, “THE BAND.”
The band doesn’t have a name – they
just have their own names. It’s me and them…it’s
just what it is.”
Do you have a favorite song from this
CD?
*Francesca*
“Well, the CD I’m planning on putting
out…as far as material on it…none
of it has been finalized, but …. I’m
very excited about “Girl Like You.”
I just love the song because it’s edgy and
rock and roll, but it’s got a great hook.
I think it has something for the teens right on
up to the grandmas – it’s got something
for everyone! It’s a fun, sexy, rock and
roll song. I think it is a catchy song that has
a lot of potential and I’m definitely hoping
for some commercial success with it.”
Did you write it?
*Mrs. Jones*
“I did not write it. Angie Aparo and Kevin
Kadish wrote it - two great people I’ve
been collaborating heavily with…. Angie’s
most famous for writing the giant hit “CRY”
for Faith Hill. Kevin Kadish is an amazingly young
talented producer/songwriter who’s out in
Nashville.”
Do you like being a front-man for a band, as opposed
to hanging on stage doing a solo gig?
*Dylan*
“I think I’m always a front-man whether
I’m in a band of professional musicians
that I’ve hired to back me or whether I’m
solo. That’s what I do. I am a front-man.
But when performing with a personalized band like
Betty or these guys, I think the work is the same
and I think I go about my business the same. I
think I’m a little tamer with the new material
and this band than I would be with the old material
and Betty. It’s just a different animal.”
I know Constantine is a Yankee fan. Does
he go to the games?
*Janice*
“I don’t get to go to too many because
of my schedule, but somehow I manage to watch
160 games a year!”
Fans – there you
have it!
